COPIA features three and one half acres of edible gardens. That’s right, we said edible. Architects Peter Walker and Partners of Berkeley, CA created the layout of the garden, which is shaped in a grid, and inspired by the gardens of Villandry in the Loire Valley of France. The foods from our gardens are organically grown and harvested for our on-site restaurant Julia’s Kitchen as well as for our food classes offered here at COPIA. The gardens are a wonderful example of traditional landscaping using edibles—a truly beautiful landscape that feeds you well.
