SUMMARY:
Responsible for developing and executing sales and merchandising strategies that increase and maximize sales, margin, product presentation and customer satisfaction on Copia.org.
Strategic and daily execution of planning, analysis, merchandising and forecasting for the retail sales of COPIA e-commerce products.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
§ Sales, promotions and merchandising of product in online store.
§ Sales, promotions and merchandising of on-line memberships and eLearning courses
§ Work closely with marketing team, COPIA content owners and agency to determine layout of web pages and products, user interface, and overall customer experience and satisfaction.
§ Analyzing historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities
§ Creating selling reports, historical recaps, and other reports to analyze and communicate business performance
§ Models the service standards and coaches staff to proactively apply superior hospitality training in their interactions with visitors and colleagues
§ Models behaviors and coaches staff to implement the Professional Standards, actively creating a collaborative work environment, demonstrates the value of cross-functional teams, fosters a solution-oriented approach to challenges and encourages innovation
§ Other duties as assigned by supervisor
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
§ A degree level individual with a minimum of 8+ years of related professional experience in retail sales, marketing or merchandising
§ ECommerce/Web based experience in food or wine experience is a plus
§ Advanced PC based computer skills are required, including a solid knowledge of the Internet
§ Superior written and verbal communication skills in English language
§ Strong email and online communication skills are required
§ Strong analytical skills, ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, ability to understand financial measurements and how to impact them, must be detailed oriented
§ Must possess ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions as necessary
§ Ability to stand for extended periods of time, sit for two-hour intervals per day, able to operate a computer and telephone
§ Available to travel out of the area for one or more nights
§ Available out of standard office hours to meet timelines, attend events, as required
§ Valid California driver’s license and minimum auto liability insurance coverage
§ This position may work off site an agreed upon percentage of time
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
§ M.A in marketing, business, merchandising or similar
§ 8 + years total, 5 in eCommerce
