Master of Wine Tim Hanni takes you through a revolutionary exploration of the physiology and psychology behind your personal tastes in wine and food. Learn how radically different our individual sensory experiences of the same wine or food can be! You’ll “get your buds done” to see how sensitive you are to certain taste sensations, and then discover how your taste sensitivities, along with your personal life experiences, combine to determine your personal likes and dislikes. You will also participate in a “flavor balancing” demonstration that will make you feel at ease any time you are confronted by the challenge of pairing wine and food. As a result of this program you will also gain insight into the preferences of your friends and family making wine selection easier and more enjoyable for every occasion. This program appeals to both consumers and professionals from all levels of wine knowledge and appreciation. Four distinctly different wines, each appealing to different taste sensitivity groups, will be tasted.

Gather 'round the Wine Spectator Tasting Table for a guided tour of Napa Valley with COPIA's Wine Educator Lily Peterson. We'll sample six wines from the Napa Valley that showcase the many expressions of Napa's famous terrior, and savor a mouth-watering tasting plate.

Talk, demonstration and hands-on activity
You're the winemaker in this hands-on workshop! Our professional staff will advise as you select varietals for your own custom blend. Pop in a cork and add a personalized label, and you'll take home wonderful memories - as well as a one-of-a-kind bottle of wine! Reservations required 24 hours in advance.
