(Garden Program) COPIA' s Annual Spring Plant Sale Start: 10:00 am End: 3:00 pm Members-only Preview Hour: 9:00 am - 10:00 am, all days Now on two consecutive weekends, it’s Copia’s Annual Spring Plant Sale! Find old favorites and unusual varieties: heirloom lettuce, Japanese eggplant, Padrone peppers, purple basil, over 40 different tomatoes and more—as well as books, tools, seeds and garden products. With garden experts on hand to answer your questions; each day also features music and cooking demos. Admission: Free (Wine & Food Program) A Danube Lunch with Daniel Angerer Start: 1:00 pm End: 2:30 pm Cooking demonstration and lunch with wine Austrian-born Chef Daniel Angerer has garnered rave reviews at Manhattan’s Klee Brasserie for appealing, imaginative, updated Austrian classics. He and Brasserie co-owner and sommelier Lori Mason present a luscious, three-course lunch paired with three great Austrian wines. Menu: Asparagus “Brats” – Arctic Char “Strudel” – Flourless Pumpkin Seed Cake Admission: $45 general/$35 member (Wine Program) Hands-On Wine Blending Workshop Start: 3:15 pm End: 4:30 pm Talk, demonstration and hands-on activity You’re the winemaker in this hands-on workshop! Our professional staff will advise as you select varietals for your own custom blend. Pop in a cork and add a personalized label, and you’ll take home wonderful memories—as well as a one-of-a-kind bottle of wine! Reservations required 24 hours in advance.
