(Wine Program) Be a Napa Winemaker for a Day! Start: 9:30 am End: 12:30 pm Breakfast, talk, demonstration and hands-on activity Garden Manager Geoff Palla and Senior Vice President of Wine Peter Marks MW lead you from vineyard to wineglass. Breakfast in the Edible Gardens, then tour our demonstration vineyards, learning the ins and outs of viticulture from bud break to crop load. Next, it’s inside, to taste for the properties of select Napa Valley grapes. Use what you’ve learned to mix your own unique bottle of Private Reserve wine! Space is limited, reservations are required 48 hours in advance: 707.259.1600. Admission: $115 general/$95 member (Wine & Food Program) Taste of COPIA Lunch: Awesome Austria Start: 1:00 pm End: 2:15 pm Interactive cooking demo, garden talk and lunch with wine Take an armchair tour of innovative, artistic and ever-so-appetizing Austria, home to Mozart, Strudel and Grüner Veltliner. Culinary Instructor Jill Hough, Garden Manager Geoff Palla and Senior Vice President of Wine Peter Marks MW are your food- and wine-savvy hosts. Menu: Restaurant Danube-Inspired Roasted Beets with Spring Greens, Horseradish Fromage Blanc and Toasted Pumpkin Seed Dressing – Roasted Stuffed Quail with Wolfgang Puck’s Huckleberry Sauce and Spaetzle – Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce and Sour Cherry Coulis Admission: $50 general/$40 member (Garden Program) Tour of the Gardens...with Wine, of Course! Start: 2:45 pm End: 4:00 pm Winetasting and tour Stroll through the Edible Gardens with our garden experts, checking out April's beauty and bounty while sipping wine or a coffee. Weather permitting. This program is also offered on Friday, April 11. Admission: $5 general/Free for members (Wine Program) Hands-On Wine Blending Workshop Start: 3:15 pm End: 4:30 pm Talk, demonstration and hands-on activity You’re the winemaker in this hands-on workshop! Our professional staff will advise as you select varietals for your own custom blend. Pop in a cork and add a personalized label, and you’ll take home wonderful memories—as well as a one-of-a-kind bottle of wine! Reservations required 24 hours in advance.
