The Visiting Artists Program is a highlight of Napa's Oxbow School, a visual arts program for high school juniors and seniors. Oxbow and COPIA offer the lecture segment of the program free to the public.

Through the use of archetypal images, Saar reaches out to audiences from backgrounds as culturally and ethnically diverse as her own. Fragments of lore, myth and legend as well as the practices of the everyday, rooted in these cultural backgrounds, are woven into Saar's powerful images, where contemporary expression enshrines centuries of man's spiritual evolution. Her highly personal, often life-sized sculptures are marked by their emotional candor, and by contrasting materials and messages that imbue her work with a high degree of cultural subtext. Free | ||
